Planning a funeral

What to think about

You don't have to be facing death to think about a funeral. A little planning and forward thinking can save you time, money and distress.

If you would like some help with thinking about and planning your own funeral we can meet, talk through your thoughts and your wishes, discuss options. I would then write it up for you. Please note, that this is not a legally binding document but more of a statement of wishes. I always suggest that you use this as a stepping stone to talk to your family and friends so that they better understand your wishes.

Legally there are three things that need to happen after someone dies.

1: have the death certified

2: register the death - in the UK this must be done within 5 days of the person dying

3: the person will need to be either cremated or buried

After that the options are endless
